Suds And Hugs offers a range of dog grooming services in my home salon. All of my shampoo and conditioners are free from harsh chemicals like SLS/SLES.
Standard Breed
This grooming package is for your standard breed grooms that give the traditional look and recognisable shape. E.g Poodles, Westies and Spaniels
A dog typically has a full groom every 4 to 8 weeks subject to breed, coat type, and lifestyle.​

This groom is for smooth coated dogs such as Labradors, Chihuahuas and Jack Russells that shed all year round.

Instead of clipping the coat, I will be removing lose hair and dead undercoat to help regulate the body temperature.

Full Groom
Our Full Groom keeps your dog looking and feeling great. A Clip Off trims the coat to one even length for a simple, low‑maintenance finish. A Clip & Scissor clips the body and adds gentle scissor shaping to the face, legs, and tail for a softer, more styled look. Both options give a tidy, easy‑to‑maintain style that keeps your dog fresh and happy.

Hand-Stripping
Is a full grooming package for mainly wire-coated dogs. The clipping and scissoring is replaced with a specialist hand stripping technique. Terriers, Schnauzers and some spaniels.
It involves plucking the dead, loose outer hairs by hand or with tools to maintain the coat's natural texture, color, and health, allowing new hair to grow.

Puppy Package
A puppy introductory package is a gentle, introductory service focusing on positive experiences, It is designed to get your puppy used to handling, equipment and the salon environment.
The package is usually spread over several short visits before a full haircut. It's about building trust and comfort.

Ultrasonic Teeth Cleaning
I use the emmi-pet ultrasonic toothbrush to clean dogs teeth. The toothbrush uses silent, vibration-free ultrasonic waves to clean teeth, killing bacteria, removing plaque and tartar, and promoting gum health without brushing or anesthesia.

An initial session will be required to assess your dog's teeth and discuss their needs.
​
Multiple sessions are often needed for significant plaque/tartar buildup, followed by maintenance sessions.

Overgrown nails can cause significant discomfort, leading to infections, broken claws, and long-term skeletal problems, making regular trims a vital part of their well-being.

Dogs that walk on concrete often may need trims less often as the pavement files them down.
